Martin Luther King Jr. Serve-A-Thon at St. John's Bread and Life (Day of Service – January 19)
On January 17th-19th, 2009, the New York City Coalition Against Hunger (NYCCAH) will sponsor our Sixth Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Anti-Hunger Serve-a-Thon event which is a three-day event featuring volunteer events at New York City’s food pantries and soup kitchens.

The MLK Day Serve-a-Thon event will provide a way for New Yorkers to come together to help pantries and kitchens meet their immediate needs and to build their long-term capacity to help low-income New Yorkers move beyond the soup kitchen towards self-sufficiency.

At this particular site, volunteers will assist in helping organize and clean the food pantry
