The Details

Puppy Love (Dog Training) (Day of Service – January 19)

Join the dogs at West End Animal Shelter for a two hour intensive obedience class. These simple obedience skills learned in this class will help the dog find a new home. Volunteers will continue to train their dog in an hour training session once a week for six weeks. Volunteers will assist in training a dog one on one with the help of a certified dog trainer. Homeless animals need your help. The time volunteers spend socializing these abused, abandoned and needy dogs and cats helps to make them adoptable and increases the odds that the shelter can find them new homes. West End Shelter for Animals is a no-kill pet placement and adoption center located in Ontario. The shelter was established in 1954 as the local humane society, and in 1994 was converted to the present no-kill alternative facility. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
