Homeless Census (Day of Service – January 19)
Baltimore County is seeking volunteers to help with its annual Point In Time Study of the county’s homeless population. The study is an important assessment that helps the county improve services to the homeless and better evaluate the scope of the issue of homelessness.

The Point in Time Study will take place on Thursday, January 29, 2009 from 8 a.m.. to 8 p.m. Those interested in volunteering will be able to choose an activity that best suits their interest. Some of the work will be indoors and involves processing interviews and/or conducting interviews with the homeless. Other activities will involve outreach to the homeless in the field, in outdoor and/or indoor locations such as churches, public libraries, bus stops.

All volunteers will be asked to attend one of four available training sessions. The sessions will be held at the Drumcastle Center, 6401 York Road, Baltimore MD21212. The sessions will be held on:

Wed, January 21, at 3 p.m.
Thursday, January 22, at 2 p.m.
Monday, January 26, at 2 p.m.
Wednesday, January 28, at 5:30 p.m.
